WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT YAKTRAX

Dear Yaktrax,

I’m writing to share with you the most amazing experience I’ve ever had running on snow and ice, an experience that would not have been possible without the Yaktrax Pro. I am an avid runner, and I run through the winter outside in the cold Chicago air. Normally, the Parks District people do a great job of keeping the paved path where I run clear, but in the last few weeks we have had snow and ice on a level unheard of in recent decades, and the conditions have been treacherous.

There are hardly any road raced in the winter in Chicago, and I had been itching to get out there and race. It’s easy to go stir crazy after so much time indoors. I learned of a small 5K race, and I decided to go run it, taking my Yaktrax Pros with me. When I got to the starting area, there was so much ice and slush, and it was 38 degrees F and raining, and I honestly secretly wished the race would be cancelled. But there were a few others there registering, so I told myself that if the others were going to race, so would I.

At the starting line, a friend showed up to cheer me on, but he was very worried. He told me, as a friend, that he did not think it was safe to run on so much ice. But as I strapped on the Yaktrax Pro, I asked him if he had ever run in them. He had not. I assured him that I would not fall on the ice. Well, the race started, and there were only 14 of us participating. I set off at a fairly aggressive pace, and was soon in the lead. I was the only runner wearing Yaktrax, and I had no trouble. In fact, I won the race thanks to Yaktrax! Everyone was amazed at how well they worked. The photographer covering the race even took a photo of my Yaktrax. Everyone was remarking at how confidently I ran on ice, especially since everyone had slipped and fallen multiple times on the course. My friend then borrowed mine, tried them and liked them so much that he bought a pair for himself.

Although I love running, I’m not all that competitive, and I may never win another race, but thanks to Yaktrax Pro, I had the opportunity to taste sweet victory for once. I just wanted to thank you for helping make it possible.

With deep gratitude,

Dear Yaktrax,

I love my Yaktrax Walkers. It has been a hard winter Nebraska. Lots of snow, lots of ice. I have tried other traction products so have them slip off while walking. Your product stayed on and helped give me more stability on ice and snow. I like how easy they can be put on my feet. They fit on both shoes and boots. I like them so much I plan on adding them to gift baskets.

I got my Yaktrax Walkers at Browns Shoe Fit of Nebraska City. I like the fact that it is spikeless and it stays on.

Thanks for making such a great product.

Sincerely,

Dear Yaktrax,

I am not an Olympic trainer, or a runner, or what-have-you. I am a normal, sedentary person with bad knees, ankles & hips. I first saw Yaktrax in a Chicago Tribune photo of a dogwalker in New York. I was -quell- impressed. I bought a pair. Prior to receiving my Yaktrax, I would rather wade thru water than walk over ice. Now? I'm like a freakin' mountain goat. Thank you so much for giving me my confidence back. I have refered several people to you. And I am proud to do so. Thank you so much for giving me my walking path back.

To whomit may concern:

I received a pair of Yaktrax- ($30.00+ pair) from my Dad, in December. They were an early Christmas gift and early birthday gift (b'day early Jan.) The point I want to make is I've been hiking 56+ yrs. started when I was 7 yrs. old., and this is the first pair of a ice/snow device that I have used and that I never have 'slipped' with these once!! I used other devices in the past and have fallen etc.

My question is: how long are the suppose to last? I mean the design with the spring coil type device. I have put so far over 60 miles with them on ice and snow, and unfortunately I even walked on bare ground (couldn't help it) and they are holding up fantastically.

Great product- keep up the great work- p.s. they are so easy to put on which helps this 63+ yr. old man out, when preparing to take off on a hike this time of year. I have found also that they work well, when there are wet leaves too!

Thank you,
Art Rickey Jr.
